It’s Awkward Coming Down (Reading Nietzsche), 2015. HD video projection from super 8 film, colour, silent, 1.04min. A filmic notation of a first reading of Friedrich Nietzsche’s Thus Spoke Zarathustra: a book for everyone and no one (Victoria: Penguin, 1969), the work is an iteration if itself. A rythymic pattern of movement that engages like trance and distracts like screensaver. Part of a series of films in which a circle falls unsteadily as the projected image materialises, dissolves, stutters or spills out of frame.
